30km men's walk / 20km women's walk - we have a lot of medals and the Czech Republic a 30km record in M50 + 2: 49: 32h!

On Saturday, May 19, 2018 in Alicante (southern Spain), the European Masters Athletics Championship culminated in road running and walking for 30km men and 20km women.

Lenka Borovičková, a traditional medal collector, did not disappoint even now and after bronze on the 10km track, she won silver in the 20km race. Congratulations!

After 2 years, Pepa again achieved a bronze medal at 30 km and especially with a time of 2: 49: 32 hours he finally broke the long-term Czech Republic record in M50 +! But it was quite a chore. And from now on they believe in the future gold!

The 30km men's race started at 17 pm, the women's 20km race started at 18 pm, so the girls joined us after about 11 km and we did better now. The race was run at a temperature of + 23 ° C, clear clouds, moderate wind from the sea, on a 2km circuit with a paving surface. This gave the basic tactical rule "do not burn the beginning", fortunately some of our opponents did not follow this rule, which became fatal for them in the second half and especially at the end of the race.

In addition to us, Mirek Fliegl, who won silver in the M30 and Zdeněk Gonsiorovsky M60, who unfortunately was forced to give up the race due to great back pain, also took part in the Czech 75km pedestrian race. Nevertheless, I smear deeply in front of him !!!

In addition to the aforementioned medals and the Czech Republic, we are returning from Alicante with great feelings and with great gusto in the 3,5 months that remain until the World Championships in Malaga to train again for other medals.

Dreaming about medals is a beautiful thing, but it is crucial to train on them !!!!!!
