U18 international matches, CZE-HUN-SVK participants, Piešťany, 5.7.2024 July XNUMX
5.7. the MU U18 youth team was held in Piešťany, Slovakia.
Of the originally registered 5 countries, only three were left in the end, and so the Czech competitors competed for victory with the teams of Hungary and Slovakia. The first 2 from the Czech championship won the national team jersey. It was in the youth competition Dan Mochal from Liberec (coaches Parys / Cermáková), for whom it was a question of a representative premier after last year's non-participation at MU, a Marek Rösler from AC Mladá Boleslav (Coach Prückner). He was Mrri of last year's MU was disqualified after crossing the finish line, so he had a representative repair ahead of him. From the teenagers, the girls from Frýdek-Místek won the right to start, a rich breeding ground of young male and female walkers under the guidance of a coach Pepy Nejezchleba, namely two Eliškas - Říhová and Kokořová.

The pedestrians in the joint start started MU with a very dignified performance and a big point gain for the Czech colors.
Right from the start, the trio Bátovský (SVK) - Mochal - Rösler took the lead. The race was driven by our pedestrians, and the leading three quickly moved away from the rest of the starting field. Eliška Říhová followed the second group of another Slovak, Krompaščík, and the two Hungarians. Gradually, the gap between her and the teenagers increased, but Eliška ran an excellent race and was de facto fighting only with herself. From the beginning, the pair Kokořová - Indrišková (SVK) lost with distance to Eliška.
After about 15 minutes of a technically very good race (except for the Hungarian competitor Stefanovics, who received 2 red >> and his technique was very specific) Bátovský went to the front and began to move away from our pedestrians. At the same time, Mochal overtook Rösler, who was slightly behind. Bátovský ran out for a clear and well-deserved victory in a single time of sub 23 min - 22:58.37. Dan Mochal he hung a silver medal around his neck at the first rep start, losing 32 seconds to the Slovak athlete in his second best performance of his life - 23:31.63. He stayed 9 seconds back Marek Rösler, who finished "clean" against last year and could thus rejoice at the bronze. The Czech pedestrians thus added 9 points (5 + 4) to the Czech account.
The girls' race remained mostly out of the camera's view, but the development of the race could be read in the background.
With a huge lead, she achieved her second time under 26 min - 25:55.46 in a solo race Eliška Říhová and scored 7 points on the Czech account for the victory. She underlined her dominant performance with a very well-mastered walking technique. Slovakian favorite Indrišková was second by a long distance, beating her with her second career performance of 27:43.91 Eliška Kokořová (4 points), who defended the bronze from the advancing Hungarian Vancsó.
The Czech pedestrian youth showed quality performances and more than worthy young pedestrians represented our discipline. Big congratulations also go to the coaching trio Nejezchleba - Paris - Prückner, who work with youth for a long time and try to find new and new talents. Although the nomination criteria for ME U18 were far for our youngsters (22:00 or 24:30), the performances of the youngsters are definitely not bad. Gradual improvement, work on technique and fearless performances at foreign starts are a promise for the future.
