DANIEL MOCHAL SHINED IN BRECLAVI

This weekend, Břeclav was the host of this year's Czech Republic Youth Championship. Daniel Mochal decorated this championship with this year's best Czech performance in the student category on the 3.000-meter walking track 13:55.51!!!

RESULTS / ERGEBNISSE

On a sunny and unusually warm weekend in September, the South Moravian town of Břeclav hosted the Championship of the Czech Republic. Walking was on the program on the very first day, September 16.9. in afternoon hours.

It was not only about championship medals, but also about the national team jersey. The first two athletes get the opportunity to represent the Czech Republic on September 23.9. within MU CRO - CZE - HUN - SLO - SVK in Slovakia.

Říhová VelkýThe female students were the first to tackle the 3000m. 31 female competitors signed up for the race, but 13 of them were eliminated, leaving 18 female walkers at the start.

After the start, Aneta Otradovská took over the pace and led the entire pack of competitors. However, Dojčárová from Pilsen quickly took over the lead, tearing the field of competitors into smaller groups. After a kilometer, Eliška Říhová from Frýdek-Místek, the biggest favorite of the race, was already ahead. She gradually built up a solid lead. As in the hall, Otradovská walked away. She gradually caught up with the competitors in front of her and managed to catch up with Eliška Říhová as well. After both girls saw the last 2 rounds on the board, Otradovská started to push in front of Říhová, which she succeeded in doing. Říhová, however, refused to let her go, kept close behind her and attacked 300m before the finish line. Very quickly she got in front of Otradovská with a beautiful light style and gained about 10m lead. With this entry, she broke Otradovská, who was fighting, but lacked lightness.

Eliska Říhová (TJ Slezan Frýdek-Místek, tr. No bread) so clearly managed to take first place just behind her personal best in 16:33.64. She defended the second place Aneta Otradovská (SAK Rumburk, tr. Soul), who with a performance of 16:41.09 improved her personal record from last year by 2 seconds. Just behind her, another pedestrian hope from Frydek-Místek crossed the finish line Victoria Vankova, who ran for a personal record of 16:41.31 and nearly overtook Otradovská with a powerful finish.

No other female walkers made it past the 17-minute mark, however, another 9 female walkers improved their personal performances. Due to the crossing out of applications, only 3 competitors did not make it to the 20-minute mark. One competitor was disqualified.

Right after the girls, the students set off for their race. 12 of them joined the start, 4 registrations were eliminated by the decision of the TD. Right from the start, a group of favorites Mochal - Rösler - Plecháček took the lead, surprisingly the walkers ACTepo Kladno tried to keep up with them. However, the high pace dictated by Mladá Boleslav's Marek Rösler from the start was clearly beyond their strength and technical capabilities, and they soon began to lose. Turnov's Plecháček also started to fall very soon. Rösler continued to dictate the pace and the leading pair quickly began to run out of laps. 800m before the finish line Dan Mochal from Liberec went to the front of the race for the first time and started to leave Rösler with a nice long stride. His technical performance was really precise despite the high tempo.

Mochal the GreatThen Mochal (AC Slovan Liberec, tr. Paris) thus hung another gold medal around his neck after the indoor title. He passed the goal in the big OR, the best student performance this year, when he got under 14 minutes for the first time in 13:55.51! Bravo. Perfectly mastered technique and top time is the calling card not only of the competitor himself, but also of his coach Párys. He took second place and the silver medal in an excellent new personal best of 14:11:27 Marek Rösler (AC Mladá Boleslav, tr. Prückner), for which this is already the fifth time under 15 minutes this year! You ran out for bronze Ondrej A tin can (AC Tunov, tr. Kristof) with a very solid performance of 15:02.78. The great improvement of the fourth Vojtěch Vejvančický from AC Rumburk (tr.Rein/Reinová) is also worth mentioning, who lost more than 100m to Plecháček during the race, but at the finish line his distance was only 13s in a new personal record of 15:15.07.

Another 3 competitors managed to break the limit of their possibilities. 10 competitors crossed the finish line, one pedestrian did not finish the race and one was disqualified.

Young male and female pedestrians performed combative and visually very handsome races. The difference in the performance of the first four from the rest of the starting field was especially evident in the pupils. All these competitors have a more frequent opportunity to start in the regional competitions of teams in the Liberec region, and this is evident in their performance and technical performance. The fact is that school adept walkers rarely have the opportunity to start anywhere. Walking is part of team races, but only in the final round. Moravian competitors also have MMaS, but that's all. The regular inclusion of walking in competitions, at least once a round, would significantly help the performance of young people and motivate walking adepts not only to work on themselves, but above all not to run away from our discipline to others.
