RESULTS / ERGEBNISSE

This year's last walking race for I. and II. the team league was organized in Brno by the athletics club AC Moravská Slavia Brno in suitable but windy weather. The organizers were rewarded for the trouble-free course with a high turnout (38 women and 50 men, including a walker from Austria and two pupils from Slovakia), interesting fights and a number of personal records.

The race was distantly related to the Veletržní dvacítka, organized in the years 1966 - 1975 by the Brno branch of Slavia Technika, in which at that time there was a strong walking group led by the excellent walker Jiří Urválek with the main star, Czechoslovak champion Vladimír Pařízko.

Category of younger students for 1 km (always 4 starters) dominated by Anežka Halasová, 2011, Orel Vyškov (5:54 min) and Filip Benčík, 2013, ŠK BCF Dukla Banská Bystrica (5:22 min); in the begining older pupils for 3 km there was only Čeněk Topor, 2007, Orel Vyškov (17:54 min).

Men's and women's 10 km races were, with the exception of Ďurdiaková, who went outside the competition in training in preparation for the 35 km race at the EC in Munich, without representatives.

TJ Lokomotiva Břeclav sent the most female competitors to fight for league points - four (years 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006), which paid the rookie tax by placing among the last.

Men's race (45) out-of-competition veteran world champion (category M45) Martin Nedvídek, 75, AC Rumburk (47:43 min), whose team is competing in the regional championship this year, dominated; the best of the league players was junior Roman Hanyk, 2004, AC Turnov (48:43 min); for the third place, a trio fought in the last meters, of which the youngest succeeded - Albert Kukla, 05, SK Jeseniova (50:45 min) ahead of veterans - former representatives, domestic Tomáš Hlavenko, 1977, AC Moravská Slavia Brno (50:47 min) and Miloslav Lapka, 1957, TJ Sokol České Budějovice (50:54 min). Junior Robert Hurdálek, 03, SK Nové Město nad Metují (52:03 min) finished sixth ahead of Václav Kolář, 89, AC Slovan Liberec (52:07 min) and veteran Filip Hejkrlík, 1979, AC Ústí n. L. Veterans followed in 15th place - Jaroslav Černý, 1986, TJ LIAZ Jablonec n. Nis. (58:24 min), Jan Polášek, 1980, Atletika Havířov 1980 (59:19 min) and Karel Konečný, 1970, TJ Spartak Třebíč (59:32 min). The oldest participant was Stanislav Marek, 1942, TJ Spartak Třebíč (83:12 min), the last competitor reached the finish line in 86:35 min.

The winners received valuable material prizes and were declared champions of South Moravia; the results were immediately published on www.atletika.cz. .Compared to the spring times, the overall performance was somewhat reduced, probably due to holidays and vacations, some also due to health problems; however, she was pleased with the greater participation of young people (if they stick to walking).

The photos are probably available on the website of AC Moravská Slavia Brno, or the pedestrians Tomáš Hlavenka and Tomáš Vojtíšek know about them.
