On Saturday 19 May 2018 in Alicante (southern Spain), the European Masters Athletics Championship Non Stadia culminated in a 30 km men's and 20 km women's race.

Lenka Borovičková, a traditional medal collector, did not disappoint even now and won bronze on the 10 km track, winning silver in the 20 km race. Congratulations!

After 2 years, Pepa again achieved a bronze medal at 30 km and especially with a time of 2:49:32 he finally broke the long-term Czech Republic record in M50 +! But it was quite a chore. And from now on they believe in the future gold!

The 30 km men's race started at 17 pm, the 20 km women's race started at 18 pm, so the girls joined us after about 11 km and we did better now. The race was run at a temperature of + 23 ° C, clear skies, moderate wind from the sea, on a 2km circuit with a paving surface. the second half and especially at the end of the race became fatal.

In addition to us, Mirek Fliegl, who won silver in the M30 and Zdeněk Gonsiorovsky M60, who unfortunately was forced to give up the race just 75 km before the finish due to great back pain, also took part in the Czech 6 km walk race. Nevertheless, I smear deeply in front of him !!!

In addition to the aforementioned medals and the Czech Republic, we are returning from Alicante with great feelings and with great gusto in the 3,5 months that remain until the World Championships in Malaga to train again for other medals.

Dreaming about medals is a beautiful thing, but it is crucial to train for them !!!!!
