21 walk 1070 LargeA stormy overture with lightning and hail and the next festival of youth personal records! This is a description of a race that allowed young people to "sell" their performance after a long period of anti-epidemic measures that affected training and racing opportunities. Thanks for that to those who planned, enabled and carried out this event! A total of 24 pedestrians aged 14 to 19 (12 + 12) and 8 veterans aged 35 to 81 (4 + 4) took part. The youngest were Eliška Kokořová from Frýdek-Místek and Matěj Piták from Vrchlabí (2007) and the oldest former representative Václav Dostalík from Olomouc (1940). The conditions for the performances were ideal: a temperature of 15 degrees. C, storm-cleaned air with ozone and an unrivaled fast flat track.

Among the girls were the favorites of the Slovak national team, all three with times well under 25 minutes; in the absence of Adéla Veselková, 06, SAK Rumburk (coach M. Dušek) this year's indoor champion of teenagers was to compete with them Ema Klimentová, 05, AK Šternberk (coach M. Sadil), otherwise also an excellent runner, bronze at the Czech Championships last year in the 1500 m hurdles and this year in cross-country running. It also filled up and Ema won the OR 24:07 min ago Karin Devaldová, 03 (24:13 min), Terézií Kurucová, 05 (24: 16 min) a Paulina Avenova, 04 (24:36 min). It is worth mentioning that Klimentová's time is significantly better than the one achieved at her age by world junior Eliška Martínková! She finished second in the duel of domestic competitors Elizabeth Frankl, 05, SK Jeseniova (coach V. Molva) in OR 25:55 min; she was far more experienced Katka Nedvidková, 04, AC Rumburk (coach M. Nedvídek); she also in OR 26:25 min. Personal records were recorded in other places Anna Horáková, 05 AC Rumburk (coach M. Nedvídek) 26:57 min, Lucie Krinwald, 05 AC Mladá Boleslav (coach J. Prückner) 27:28 min Eliška Kokořová, 07, TJ Slezan Frýdek-Místek (coach J. Nejezchleba) 29:23 min. He also got under 30 minutes Michaela Plešáková, 05, TJ Sokol České Budějovice (coach M. Lapka), when she did not keep up the pace (3 km 17:17 min) and lagged behind her time from Olomouc with a time of 29:30 min.

21 walk 1239Among the boys the winner at the U20 European Championships was expected to be the winner Adam Zaječek, 03, Athletics Poruba (coach K. Ketner); he confirmed his lead with the lead from start to finish and the time of 21:40 min (OR) was the fourth in the world among juniors at that time; the next day in Poděbrady in the meantime for 10 km at the European Team Championships he surpassed, among other things Jaromír Morávek, 03, SMOLA CHUZE Prague (coach K. Maternová) time 21:00 min. The second and third place was won by guests from Slovakia Jakub Batovsky, 05 a Michal Duda, 04 in OR 22:36 min. Another group was also tied, with 50 losing the fourth Robert Hurdálek, 03, SK Nové Město nad Metují (coach D. Šnajdr) in 23:25 min OR before the biggest surprise Štěpán Krupka, 03, SK Vrchlabi SMOLA KONSTRUKCE (coach K. Maternová), who improved his current OR by 23:26 min with a time of 3:40 min! The Slovak student also reached the same time of 23:26 minutes Lukas Rosenbaum, 07. He dropped out of this group due to muscle problems Roman Hanyk, 04, AC Turnov (coach D. Šnajdr), yet the time of 24:04 min means the settlement of the 7-month-old OR also from Poděbrady. A promising student Matej Piták, 07, SK Vrchlabi SMOLA KONSTRUKCE (coach K. Maternová) won eighth place in OR 24:16 min; improved OR by 58 s to 24:35 min Daniel Balicz, 02, AC Mladá Boleslav (coach J. Prückner), tenth finished in OR 24:39 min Tomas Endrst, 05, USK Prague (coach P. Brandejský). The pupil closed the order at its premiere on a longer track Vojtech Novak, 06, TJ Slezan Frýdek-Místek (coach J. Nejezchleba) - OR 27:19 min a Albert Kukla, 05 SK Jeseniova (coach T. Korbel) - OR 28:27 min.

They fought no less hard on the track as well Masters (veteran categories). Women's competition won experienced Lenka Borovičková, 1973, SK Nové Město nad Metují in 28:45 min ago Pavla Nedvídková, 1982, AC Rumburk - time 29:07 min Lenka Slabáková, 1966, AC Moravská Slavia Brno in 29:36 min; the fourth has arrived Miloslava Reinová, 1968, AC Rumburk in time 31:23 min. Men's race from start to finish he was led by a former representative, now a successful triathlete Lukáš Pazdera, 1986, VSK University of Brno (quality time 23:50 min). the second place belongs to a generation older senior representative and a major sponsor of the Czech Athletics Association and walking competitions Josef Smol, 1964, SMOLA CHUZE Prague (26:43 min), third to another older sponsor of walking races Peter Adam, 1950, SK Nové Město nad Metují (32:42 min) and the fourth oldest active pedestrian, former representative  Václav Dostalík, 1940, AK Olomouc (42:35 min).

The race was successful in all respects and it is to be hoped that pedestrians of all ages will meet in far greater numbers and with less epidemiological restrictions on June 5 at the league event in the promised walk of Rumburk!                                     MD Petr Brandejský
