Just a year of special walking training was enough for Tereza Ďurdiaková to meet the sharp Olympic limit, which ensures her start at this year's games in Tokyo. She used to be an aqua and perseverance, who is training under the leadership of coach Ivo Piták, surprised Surge during the autumn meeting in Poděbrady, where she defeated Anežka Drahotová and won her first championship title on the 20-kilometer track in 1:33:54. Even then, she made no secret of the fact that her goal for the next races would be to meet the limit for Tokyo, and in Dudince she really broke the value of 1:31 when she passed the finish line as the fifth in the time of 1:30:52. She improved her person from Poděbrady by more than three minutes and ranked third in the Czech historical tables behind Anežka Drahotová and Barbora Dibelková. The race was a clear Mexican affair, as the complete podium was won by the country's representatives. Valeria Ortuňová won in 1:29:11 ahead of compatriots Ilse Ariadna Guerrero (1:29:33) and Alegna Gonzales (1:30:08). Fourth Marya Carolina Perez from Guatemala came in front of Ďurdiak (1:30:27).

As part of the men's 50-kilometer race, the Czech Republic men's championship at this distance also took place. In the expected battle for gold between the six-time champion Lukáš Gdula and the young challenger Vít Hlaváč, the latter was more successful. Hlaváč dealt with the track in a big personal record of 3:52:54 and was able to rejoice in the premier championship title at the Chodčany 4. So far, he has only gone this route once, when he scored 30:46:3 in Dudince two years ago. Vítek suddenly jumped to fourth place in our national historical statistics for the trio of Miloš Holuša, Ivo Piták and Hubert Sonnek. Lukáš Gdula took silver for six gold this time, however, the time of 56:06:4 is his second best in his career. The coach of both fighters is Ivo Piták. Martin Nedvídek was the bronze man of the championship race at 35:59:XNUMX.

The overall winner was Guatemalan Bernardo Barrondo, who triumphed for 3:47:01. The second Lithuanian Artur Mastianica lost more than a minute to him with a time of 3:48:24. Another Guatemalan representative Luis Angel Sanchez finished third (3:48:56). A total of seven pedestrians beat the Olympic qualifying limit of 3:50.

Our walking youth also did well. Eliška Martínková won the junior race in the big 45:52, which ranks third in the historical Czech tables of this category for the Drahot sisters. In the same category of boys, Jaromír Morávek finished third in 44:12 and Adam Zajíček finished right behind him in 44:26. All three nominations met the nomination requirements for the start of the European Junior Championships in Tallinn, Estonia.

In the men's 20-kilometer race, Mexican Andres Nuněz won 1:19:54 ahead of his national team colleague Noel Almazán (1:20:23) and Colombian 2017 world champion Eider Avelar (1:20:24). Six competitors met the 1:21 Olympic limit.
