Perfect training camp in Rumburk with a successful competition.

Almost complete adult and youth selections met with other "voluntary" candidates for a joint training camp in Rumburk. The new head coach of the walking youth once again showed itself in the best light. Excellent training and leisure atmosphere and good mood accompanied the whole week camp.

More than 20 participants, from Anežka Drahotová, Luke Gdula, Víťa Hlaváč, through teenagers to several pupils, formed an age-disparate but interest-cooperating team. None of us trainers (Čermáková, Ketner, Jindříšková, Piták, Dušek, Nedvídek) had to chase anyone into "work". I would never have believed if I hadn't been there myself.

Most of those present took part in the final races. Of the adults, only Vítek Hlaváč was missing, who had just before departure for ME23.

From the position of the so-called "re-coach", I must state that the direction set by Kačka may be the long-sought way to raise the performance level of Czech youth walking.

The performance of Adam Zajíček, Jarda Morávek, Eliška Martínková and others is starting to look promising. Hopefully so that we don't have to just close the starting field in the youth categories at the event.

RESULTS WALKING MEETING RUMBURK 

Walking Day was really a holiday! At the beautiful stadium, in beautiful athletic weather, with the wonderful participation of the best pedestrians from all over the Czech Republic, when only the sick Pepa Smola was missing, we enjoyed the whole day walking "really".

The smallest pedestrians, boys and girls from the jigs struggled incredibly for every meter, for every step. Amazing fights were seen on non-pedestrian tracks - 200m and 500m and then a wonderful duel of three relays on a 100m pair circuit for 5 minutes!

I can write the same about pupils, teenagers and adults. In the morning we walked the classic distances on the track 3000m and 5000m and we could see great performances. Anežkla Drahotová and Martin Nedvídek won five in excellent times. Lukáš Gdula and Eliška Martínková flew the fastest.

The last half-hour race of the pairs, when they always took turns 400 meters, was such a "nice massacre". After the draw, new friendships were formed in the first place, for half an hour they were couples fighting for victory, for medals, again for every meter, just like with the youngest children.

The whole day took place in a wonderful atmosphere, there were about a hundred of us and the spectators, which is a good way for another walk! 
We finished the national concentration of pedestrians in Rumburk with the race, 14 promising but also the best pedestrians in the Czech Republic worked here all week.
