The walking year 2019 will be full of important walking events. Here is an overview of the most interesting companies at home and abroad that will take place in the coming year.

Indoor season 2019

Juniors, teenagers and students will this time fight for championship titles and medals in Prague Stromovka. They will meet at their top on February 10.

Just a few days later (February 16), Vienna's Ferry Dusika will host the Austrian Championships and the 3.000m international international walking race.

On March 9, the MASTERS Veterans Championship of the Czech Republic will take place in the Jablonec hall. For many athletes, this Championship will also be the last quality test before the MASTERS World Championship. 

The efforts of all veteran world MASTERS athletes will then lead to the 8th World Indoor Championships in Torun, Poland (March 24-30), where the Czech team will want to follow up on last year's successful World Championships in Malaga, where it won seven individual precious metals. and four team medals.

Summer season 2019

18 UNDER 2154 modThe introductory event of the summer season will be 4th year "Eisenberger Mühltalgehen" at 15km (5km and 3km for young people) on March 16, in the romantic valley of the Iron Mountains lying between the German cities of Gera and Jena (details will be given in one of the upcoming articles on our website), which will take place in Saturday, March 16.  

The next day on Sunday, March 17 followed by a large international company "Lugano Trophy - Mario Albiseti Memorial ", in Lugano, Switzerland.

The owners of the jets will certainly catch up with the two above-mentioned important companies in the busy weekend program (March 16-17) !!! 

The championship titles on the 50 km track will be distributed in Dudince, Slovakia as part of the traditional "Dudin's Fifties " - EA Race Walking Permit Meeting, the date of which is set at March 23.

6. April elite pedestrian competition will meet at a traditional meeting "Podebrady Walking - Podebrady walking races "- EA Race Walking Permit Meeting, which is also an interstate match and republic championship in walking for 20 kilometers. Poděbrady walking competitions are the largest and highest quality international meeting in our territory on the fastest walking circuit in the world. The history of the Poděbrady plant is unparalleled in Europe or in the world. Their 87th year will take place on Saturday, April 6. One week later, then April 13  the pedestrians will meet for the next measurement of forces, this time it will be a club race on the 10km track during the traditional walking meeting In Olomouc, which is already proud of its 54th year. (!! Warning !!!: on the website www.atletika.cz in the Calendar section the deadline is incorrect - apparently the race manager did not manage to coordinate the deadline with the Czech Athletic Association despite his great busyness ....)

On the same day, then April 13  is preparing in Naumburg, Germany traditional very important international walking holiday, which will have a jubilee program 50th year!

The host The European Walking Cup will be Vilnius, Lithuania on May 19.

The oldest pedestrian road race in Europe is the race "Prague - Brandýs ". Its 116th year will take place on June 9. After the end of the 112th year, in 2015 the organizers decided to proceed with a radical change in the format of the Prague-Brandýs plant. The most important is the circuit route in the village of Zelenče, with a total length of 10 km.

Feast of walking in Rumburk at 1km, 5km and popular two-member relays has a fixed place in the calendar traditionally at the beginning of the summer holidays, this time June 29.   

Sweden is the host country of both European Youth Championships. The Under-22 Championship is hosted by Gälve (July 11-14). Four days later, the MEJ will start in Boras (July 18-21).

The beginning of August will belong to the fights on the Moravian field, where pedestrians will share it on August 3 in the fight for club league points on the 10 km track at the "57th Josef Přidala Memorial".

The best athletes in the junior and youth categories will meet for their championship on June 28-30 in Olomouc.

The club competition will culminate on September 8 as part of the Czech Team Championship in Hodonín.

The veteran absolute highlight will be the European Championships in the Italian cities of Jesolo and Caorle near Venice, which will take place from 5 to 15 September.

The absolute highlight will be the World Championships in Doha, Qatar, which will take place due to more favorable climatic conditions in a very unconventional late period from September 27 to October 6.

October will belong to the classic international walking meetings:

5th of October the walking competition will meet at the 2nd year of walking competitions in Šluknov on 10km, 20km and 30km lines, while the 30km race will eventually be the championship of the Czech Republic - negotiations with ČAS are currently underway, and with the successful outcome of the negotiations, 30km championship titles and medals will be handed out in Šluknov!

The culmination and end of the whole summer season will be in Saturday, October 19, already the traditional international meeting "Pražská chodecká hodinovka" (7th year) on the athletic tartan track of Olympus in Prague Stromovka. The traditionally very busy meeting with the highest price money and the best Czech competitors and very strong international competition from Germany, Poland, Italy and Slovakia will end the whole season. Let's believe it's successful!
