Few would try to return to the world of great athletics if they suffered a serious injury at the age of forty. However, this is not the case of the world record holder in the 3-year-old Yohann Diniz from France, who is known for being able to bounce back from his failures to top performances. This is exactly what was the case, for example, after the Olympic Games in Rio, when he entered the race as one of the main favorites. From the start, he chose a dizzying pace, which also made up for him when he almost collapsed several times and stumbled to the finish line in eighth place. A year later at the World Cup, it was a completely different story. This time he did not give his opponents the slightest chance and clearly dominated. His main goal for 2018 was to succeed at the European Championships in Berlin. At that time he will be 41 years old and in addition to his age, his Olympic rival will certainly be the Olympic winner from Rio Matěj Tóth from Slovakia.
