Katerina MaternovaBorn 1998

In 2016, she appeared among pedestrians and ruled unrivaled on the Czech pedestrian youth scene.
In the hall and outside, she won the championship title on the 3.000m cross-country track, indoor bronze at the 1.500m, outside silver at the M-CR under the age of 22 on the 3.000m hurdles. Even on the walking trails, it improved rapidly and in Poděbrady it attacked the limit of 50 minutes for 10 km.
During the pedestrian national premiere at the World Championships for pedestrian teams in Rome, she reached the 34th juniors at 52:06.

Unfortunately, after excellent winter training, she contracted mononucleosis and her return at the end of the season had to be really careful.
She completed her first walking start after her illness on "our" watch in Stromovka and stepped just above the 10 km mark.
In November, she still cautiously walked 3.000 m just 15 and a half minutes in the Jablonec hall, and at the junior M-CR in the cross country, she finished in 8th place, so it seems that she is serious about her gradual return.

lukas gdulaBorn in 1991 - representative of the Czech Republic in athletics, member of VSC MŠMT ČR, competes for Hvězda Pardubice.

Lukáš is a very conservative man, a purposeful, persistent and hard-working racer. In this year, 2013, he began to thrive and began to capitalize on his training work of previous years. He finished 7th in the European Under-23 Athletics Championships in Tampere in the walking race for 20km. He did not disappoint at the European Cup in Dudince. He defended last year's Czech championship title in 50km walking in a new personal record and 14 days later he added bronze on the 20km track.

He started his national team at the Junior World Championships in Mexico and at the MSJ in Canada in 2010. On the 10 km track, no miracles were expected of him, because from the beginning it is clear that Gdulik is a type of endurance athlete at 50 km. It resembles Holuša with many human and sports qualities. In 2011, Lukáš was incredibly worried. At the same time, the preparation throughout the year in winter, spring and summer was demanding and certainly did not cheat or neglect anything. Perhaps the only positive race was that Lukáš won all the league's 5 km races. He was definitely not satisfied with the silver from the M-CR for 50 km and especially with the final time, and even on 20 km of tracks it was suffering. He managed not to slow down in training and believed that it had to break. Only now did autumn shine for better times. In Naumburg, Lukáš stepped on the twenties on the edge of 1:30 h and got into the lead of the Czech tables.

In 2012, Lukáš continued his solid autumn performance and stepped on the 20 km in the first race in Lugano 1:28:34 and the following week in Dudince he won the national 50km championship with a time of 4:14:56. Both of these performances secured him a start at the World Championships in walking in Saransk, Russia, where he started in mid-May on a 50 km track. In the world competition and climatically difficult conditions, Lukáš was the youngest starter from a more than stacked starting field. He managed to concentrate on the race and lagged only slightly behind his OR. With a time of 4:16:05, he reached the finish line in 53rd place and defeated a long line of better opponents on paper. He also won 2 extra-league walking races and repeated the victory in the final of the Czech team championship.

ANEŽKA IS BACK AGAIN, LUKÁŠ TAKES

Chinese Taicang (a suburb of Shanghai) has become the organizer of the World Walking Team Championships (former IAAF World Cup). This competition, which takes place in a two-year interval, is, in addition to the Olympic Games and the World Championships, included in the highest A category of IAAF walking races. It is the race with the best level, as it can nominate up to 5 pedestrians from each country for each track. (For OH and MS only 3). A mini-team of 2 competitors started from the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, this corresponds to the performance reality of Czech pedestrians of all categories.

In the morning men's 50km race, Lukáš Gdula parted his race in a large group for a time of about 3: 56-8. He looked good for more than an hour, but then he probably decided not to leave the exercise "to have nerves on the twine" and showed me a successful etude on the topic of Agnes - MS London. Stomach and intestinal problems completely threw him off, and even though I offered him to pack the race, he returned to the track and "reached" 48. at 4:25:47 The penultimate of those who pushed the race to the finish line. But he said clearly - it is the world and I have not taken such a path to give up. Despite the fact that he was completely scrapped and could barely stand, in the early evening he came to cheer on Agnes for a woman in his 20s.

I'm sorryDate of birth: born 6.4.1958/XNUMX/XNUMX
The person who unites us all, manages and coordinates our activities is coach IVO PITÁK (professional coach of the sports center of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and now also a coach at the Jilemnice sports grammar school). He started coaching during his active racing in the second half of the eighties of the last century. Many of his charges competed in the Olympic Games, the World and European Championships, the World and European Cups. So we have been the group for several generations, and in any case we have ambitions to be the best. We have the motivation and a great desire to succeed, he has experience, knowledge and enough strength. This connection gives us a chance to succeed in the sports world and internationally. Our goal is medals and our philosophy is given by the statement: "It's not important to participate, it's to win."
