Slovakia's nomination for the European Team Walking Championship, Poděbrady, May 21, 2023

15 competitors (220 men and 115 women) from 105 countries signed up for the 22th European Team Walking Championship in Poděbrady.

Slovakia nominated a total of a dozen competitors, compared to the host country (Czech Republic), which decided to nominate only 7 representatives, albeit in domestic conditions (and therefore essentially at no cost) and thus once again not giving a chance and giving up the opportunity for other Czech male and female competitors who would they certainly didn't embarrass themselves at this home European Championship... After the European Championship held in 2021, this is the second criminally missed opportunity for the host country to give a chance and thus motivation to the next round of competitors, who would thank them for it in the coming years and especially in the last year (2025) they were certainly happy to repay the organization of the ME. Hopefully, the leading representatives of the union will not regret this incomprehensible short-circuit in 2 years........apparently they have set it up like that in the concept and system, and nothing can be done about it. And exceptions are not granted in the current order! Bravo! Apparently, I somehow missed the real reason why the Czech Republic is organizing this EC in the walking of teams!!!!! for 3 years (2021, 2023, 2025) she received.......

NUMBERS OF STARTERS IN INDIVIDUAL DISCIPLINES (IN PARENTHESES STARTERS FROM THE CR, A TOTAL OF 7):

MEN

20 km (Moravek, Bunny): 50 walkers from 17 countries, we do have Gdula and Kolář, but rather than form a team, we do not nominate them, even if these fighters will still go to the meeting, as well as Nedvídek !!

35 km (head): 35 walkers from 13 countries, we do have Nedvídek and Malysa, but why build a team at home behind the threshing floor, it would probably be a mess if the team came in 6th place.....

WOMEN

20 km (Martínková): 46 pedestrians from 17 countries

35 km (Durďiakova): 25 pedestrians from 13 countries, we do have Pohlova-Kučerová, Hlaváčová, Bugárová, Baklíková, but we'd rather say in advance that it would be a shame...... even if most of the non-nominated will walk 20km as part of the meeting......

JUNIORS

10 km 30 walkers from 12 countries, (nobody from the Czech Republic!!!!!!), although we have Kukla around 45-46min!!!, but we prefer to justify (and of course defend!!) why not nominate him!!!

JUNIOR GIRLS

10 km (Klimentova, Franklova): 34 pedestrians from 14 countries
