Kimberley García León ran a new Peruvian national record of 1:26:58 for her first major precious metal. It must be added that she really deserved to win, as she was very active the whole time. Katarzyna Zdzieblová, a silver medalist from Poland, also moved her country's national historical maximum to 1:27:31. The silver from Doha was followed by the Chinese Shijie Qieyang with a bronze in 1:27:56.

From the Czech Republic, Eliška Martínková, a walker, competed in her first major international event for twenty-first place. In the extreme heat, she chose a more cautious start and after the first five kilometers was around the thirtieth position. But gradually she got higher and higher, until it was a very nice 21st place in 1:34:45, which was a very solid performance considering the climatic conditions. He can thus evaluate his premiere at a major international event positively.

For the first time ever in the history of the World Championships, a women's 35 kilometer race was held. Its winner was Peruvian Kimberley García León. Unfortunately, Tereza Ďurdiaková did not finish the championship race.

The women's 35km race made its debut at the world championships and the medalists were the same as in the XNUMX. Kimberley García Leónová and Katarzyna Zdzieblová broke away from the rest of the starting field already at the start. The Chinese Shijie Quieyang moved alone in the third position. This was the scenario that remained unchanged until the eighteenth kilometer, when the Peruvian broke away from her Polish rival and very quickly built up a lead of about fifteen seconds.

She then increased it a bit towards the end and crossed the finish line as the winner in 2:39:16, thus setting a championship record in this new discipline. He will thus take home a pedestrian golden double from Eugene. Katarzyna Zdzieblová hung another silver medal around her neck in a new personal best of 2:40:03. Bronze medalist Shijie Quieyang then pushed the value of the Asian record to 2:40:37.

The Czech team was represented by Tereza Ďurdiaková, for whom Eugene is the second major international event after last year's Olympics. For most of the race, coach Ivo Piták's daughter was in the third ten of the standings, but she withdrew from the race three kilometers before the finish line. The reason was a combination of indigestion and exhaustion.

Slovak representative, only 22 years old Hana Burzalová, did very well and finally crossed the finish line in 23rd place with a performance of 2:59:32, which is a Slovak national record and, of course, a personal record. Another Slovak pedestrian, Ema Hačundová, came in 32nd place in 3:07.02.

In total, 44 female pedestrians started the race, of which four did not finish the race and two were disqualified for violating pedestrian rules.
