Good training in Zelenec - despite the tiring heat

On Sunday, June 10.6.2018, 10, at 15:115 a.m., the 3th year of the "Praha-Brandýs" walking race was started, for the third year under the name Eleven half marathon Prague-Brandýs, in a new environment starting in Green and on ČAS-certified tracks, which are part of the national league competitions of athletic teams (8-lap circuit race on the cycle path between Zelenč and the transmitter towards Horní Počernice). On the shortened track of 3 km, the youth of Chodec was then introduced.

In full preparation for our top events of the European Championships Berlin and World Championships (Masters) Malaga, we trained well in Zelenč, despite the tough heat and stuffy on a very technically demanding circuit (8x turn on a bucket on a hill, 7x turn on cones).

The overall winner of the race was Vít Hlaváč from AC TEPO Kladno, who also broke the track record in 45:30 minutes, just before the second in the finish Lukáš Gdula 45: 42min. The constantly improving Rosťa Kolář from SK Hranice 50: 36min deservedly reached the finish line.

In the category over 40 years, Pepa won in training time 54: 11min (training 3km before the race, training 5km after the race), therefore he could not appear in time for the announcement of winners, for which he apologizes to the dedicated organizers. However, he was represented there by Lenka Borovičková, who also won the prize for winning the women's 10km walk at 1:00:08.
