Seventeen-year-old Eliška Martínková from AC Turnov improved her personal record at the 3.000m walk at the famous 13: 38.23min! Only Anežka Drahotová went this route faster in the Czech Republic in the last few years ......
During the championship of the Liberec region in the Jablonec hall Střelnice, the seventeen-year-old gave the best performance of all competitors Eliška Martínková from AC Turnov and she clearly rolled over the whole starting field, this time not by the proverbial steamer, but by a light year, when the second competitor in the overall absolute ranking, Adéla Veselková, followed her by almost two minutes !!! Eliška's famous performance 13: 38,23min at the same time she improved her current personal maximum on this track by more than one minute !!! And what she indicated a bit last year, it seems, could get a spectacular sequel if she manages to transfer such performance to the outdoor season, which is already irresistibly approaching (in 2 months). And who knows, maybe she could soon step on the heels of Anežka Drahotová herself. We support Eliška a lot and keep our fingers crossed !!!
The second in absolute order (as we write above in the article) came very talented and at her age at an excellent time Adéla Veselková 15: 25,41, year 2006, from TJ Rumburk!!! Time will probably show how the transfer from AC Rumburk to TJ Rumburk will "benefit" her.
Close behind her, she finished in third place in the absolute ranking, but second in the junior teammate Eliška Martínková, Jana Zikmundová, year 2002 also with a very promising performance of 15.35,93min.
The men's five was clearly dominated by anyone other than nthe best Czech veteran Martin Nedvídek (year 1975) and how else but with a performance starting at 22: ....., this time 22: 19,61min. Second in line, only sixteen Jarda Moravek 23: 53,71min will have to add to build on last year's very promising performance ..
A total of 42 competitors took part in these walking races, which confirms the established trend and the need for available racing opportunities in the winter.
