At the German Indoor Indoor Championships in Halle / Saale, a 5.000m men's and 3.000m women's championship was held on Friday evening, during which the titles of Champion and Champion of Germany were shared.
In the women's race Teresa Zurek repeated her success last year, in men Christopher Linke won this year's second absolutely fastest time in the world !!!
 
The joy of 30-year-old Christopher Link (SC Potsdam) was huge in the finish not only from the title of German Champion, but above all from the new personal record of 18: 33,86 min !!! at 5.000m walk. Only for laymen - that's every kilometer in 3: 42min !!! Unimaginable speed for most and cross-country skiers. "My goal was a person. I didn't expect that I would overcome him so clearly," said the fifth from the World Cup at the finish. The second from last year's European Championships Nils Brembach (SC Potsdam) finished second with a time of 19: 08,81 min. And Leo Köpp (LG Nord Berlin; 20: 42,27 min) finished bronze.

In the women's 3.000m race, both SC Potsdam competitors Saskia Feige and Teresa Zurek set the pace, who also fought for victory. In the end, Teresa Zurek won, who after 2 km constantly increased her lead over her training partner. "For us, 3.000 m is like a sprint. It was important for me that the final time starts at 12," said 20-year-old Teresa, who successfully defended her last year's title with such an excellent time of 12: 47,36 minutes. Saskia Feige (13: 07,16 min) and Josephine Grandi (SC Potsdam; 14: 32,90 min) finished second and third.
